Every relationship eventually needs to move a file: the signed contract, the brand package, the photos from the event. And that's exactly when email lets you down: attachment limits, bounced messages, "can you send that again as a link?". Courier is Trevally's answer: secure file transfer built right into your contact base, so sharing a file is as natural as picking the people it's for.

What is Courier?

You'll find Courier in the sidebar, under APPS. The form is one screen: choose the recipients, give the share a title, optionally add a message, and drop in the files: up to 5 files, 100MB each, well beyond a typical email attachment limit.

Required fields are marked, and Courier checks them before the Share Files button activates. No half-finished shares.

Choosing who receives the files

Click Select Contacts and you get the same picker used across Trevally, with your data sources on the left: individual Contacts, your Contact Lists, or the cohorts from your CSV/vCard imports.

That means "send the brand assets to the whole marketing list" is one checkbox, not twenty. And if the person you need isn't in your base yet, the picker's New Contact button lets you create them on the spot.

Your selection shows up as chips under the recipients field: individuals and lists mixed freely, each removable with a click:

Sending the files

Give the share a descriptive title, add context in the message, and drop your files: each one uploads with a visible progress bar and can be removed before sending:

Hit Share Files and Courier takes over: every recipient receives an email notification that files are waiting for them.

The part that goes further: recipients don't need Trevally

Here's the detail that makes Courier genuinely useful for client work: if a recipient isn't a Trevally user, they aren't left out: they receive an invitation email and can access the shared files through a link. Sharing a file with someone is also the smoothest way to bring them into your Trevally network.

Where your shares live afterwards

A Courier share isn't fire-and-forget. Each one becomes a record in your Shared Files history: the title, your message, the downloadable files, and the full "Shared with" roster:

The share also weaves itself into the rest of Trevally:

  • It counts in your dashboard's Shared Files statistic;
  • It's tied to the people involved, alongside the messages and attachments already on their contact cards;
  • And Courier itself is embedded in every contact card's Attachments tab: open a contact, and you can share files with that person already pre-selected as the recipient.

When to reach for Courier

Contracts too big for email. A folder of design assets for the whole client list. Photos for the family. Any moment where "who gets this" matters as much as "what's in it", because in Trevally, the who is already organized.
